Boys need to be extremely careful today. In the headlines, it said something like "a 5th of women and 3rd of men thinking a woman flirting earlier is not rape." Well, that's clearly terrible and wrong. Flirting does not absolve you from rape. But later in the actual story, they said "a 5th of women and 3rd of men thinking a woman flirting earlier and later did not give explicit consent is not rape without violence." Now that's a completely different situation.



If a woman is flirting and leading on a man, he initiates sex and she doesn't say no or try to stop him then I can see there is a big grey zone that might lead to reasonable doubt. I think then it would depend upon if you believe (based on testimony, evidence etc) he was aware she didn't want to do it.
