Hey! I was extremely lonely after my marriage broke down last year. I was in a relationship where we had no social circle at all. After the split, I had no close friends, only work colleagues. It's difficult at first but with a little effort, it's been more than worth it. I would say to anyone who feels lonely and without friends, join a club, group or society. It has honestly been the best thing I've ever done. I don't have any close friends anymore either. One day they just stopped noticing, or people moved away or got too busy with their lives.
It's still nice when I can see them on rare occasion but I wish I had friends close enough that I could feel comfortable just popping over without advance notice or ones that came to see me sometimes instead of always expecting me to do the Autism bird seeing the world from a different angle bird shirt arranging and the traveling. My friends are all getting married and having kids and getting on with their lives. I feel alone and left behind. I'm too anxious to start again and find new friends who will have time for me I don't have any close friends.
