I met Gene Autry in Carmel, California when I lived out there. He sat down and talked to my kids about his horses and that he used to be on TV. He was so pleasant. My son was thrilled to have met a real cowboy. I took them to put flowers on his grave after he passed. My son was so sad. Didn’t realize the impact that talks he had with my children affected them. They have never forgotten the Vintage Curly bill Cowboy well bye shirt they met. I loved to watch him on TV. I had a Gene Autry watch. Love to sing along with his songs. He was a part of my childhood!
