I first became aware of Harry Potter by my then, second-grade student, Ethan who was blind. Although extremely bright and gifted, Ethan was resisting learning how to read Braille. He asked me to read Harry Potter and the Harry Potter stop flamming Da story Prepz ok shirt to him. I refused. Instead, I offered to purchase the novel in Braille and we would read the novel together; me reading a page from the print copy and he, reading a page from the Braille copy. Well, that lasted a week. He declared that pace was too slow for him.
