to see who has the Tofteesweater moral high ground on this.....if I invite a vegan to my home for dinner...I will accommodate their dietary ‘choice’ and cook vegan for them......now how many vegans on here are gonna reciprocate without trying to ram their agenda stuffed tofu down my throat... Veganism is not sustainable in most climates and environmental locations. If you want to save your lifestyle (refuse to say planet) check how sustainable your choices are.

Food miles, carbon footprint etc. For example, the Tofteesweater demand for chickpeas by vegetarians and vegans is causing desertification of the soils in Spain. You are just feeding the capitalist machine. Moderation equilibrium, sustainability. That’s the key  I really don't care what people eat, their choice, however, I do disagree when a vegan imposes their veganism on a domesticated animal, wrong on so many levels.


I also do feel uncomfortable with the Tofteesweater way Serene published a private email. Vegans have a perfectly reasonable point of view. I am more than happy to eat at vegetarian or vegan restaurants. However, I am not a great cook and find including meat in my diet easier. I am not a crusading meat eater and am happy to get on with any vegan who doesn’t wish to correct, teach or convert me.
