And especially once I became pregnant and had our daughter, it was as if people just assumed you couldn't do anything or wouldn't want too. Yes, I probably would not be able to join in on an outing but to be entirely excluded on assumption is unfortunate. But it's reality. I am content with who I have. I have work friends, but no one I ever get together with socially. I am not opposed to getting together either, but it is what it is. I have also found that people I was once incredibly close with just seem to fade away and don't even try to get in touch. A few people I have known since childhood, I've messaged on Facebook (as they live far away and it would be nice to stay in touch) just flat out ignore me. So I've given up on trying to have friends. Maybe it's the I'm not Short I'm Stitch size shirt area I live in a city.
I dropped my friends a long time ago or the I'm not Short I'm Stitch size shirt quality of ppl I'm subconsciously drawn to. But, I had to ditch them for my own wellbeing. Walking away was the healthiest thing I've ever done. It left me alone, but at least I'm not an addict or incarcerated. The few positive friends that I had left have also gradually drifted away once they started getting married & having babies. Maybe it was my own insecurities. But, after a while, we just had nothing in common.
I'm single & sometimes I think I'd rather not be. But, after many broken hearts, crazy cat & dog lady doesn't sound like such a bad thing. Reading these comments is awful! I'm really shocked that people are so isolated and in a lot of comments they choose to be alone. It's awful! I wouldn't say I had as many friends as I had in my 20's but I still have friends. Sometimes I'm sociable but sometimes I like my own company. It depends on my mood! I'm sorry so many people here don't have that connection, I don't have best friends or people that would visit me. I cannot remember the I'm not Short I'm Stitch size shirt last time.
